Extending Vocabulary Charlotte's Web

Term 1 Week 8
On Monday room 28/29 went into the auditorium to see the storm water show. We watched people do a little show and the people did the wrong thing then they did another show it was the same but the right thing went down the drain and they cleaned the car on the grass so the soapy water didn't go down the drain!!!
All of us learnt what should go down drains and how to look after nature!!!

I was learning about stereotypes.
I found it tricky to think of the bad things about the animal.
I found it easy and fun to think about the good things about the animal.
My next step is to think about the bad things before the good things.

Term 1 Week 6
On Tuesday I went to digikids there we learnt how to change the background on our blogs.
The week before that we changed the colour of our folders on our drive.
I had a great time at digikids and cant wait to go next week.

Place Value 2
My Reflection
I was learning to read numbers up to 1000 and to say which is bigger or smaller.
The thing that helped me most was:
- using my basic facts to help with bigger numbers
- remembering to look at the left to see if the digits are bigger
- using streets and houses to break up bigger numbers
- realising that the success criteria doesn’t change when the numbers get bigger
- seeing patterns in the numbers that don’t change when they get bigger
- practising on Mathletics
My next step is to:
- try the same activity using bigger numbers
- use this information to move problems

Term 1 Week 5
Yesterday I went to digikids With Paige,Tanzee,Norha and I. We are going to make our own video games.
We changed the colour of our folders on our drive.
We also recourded ourself playing a game of mathletics.
Then it was time to go so we went back to class and the others were still at youth town so we tidied up the class for them then the bell rang and everyone went home.
